In 2002, Mistltetoe Heights was designated a Historical District by the City of Fort Worth. The purpose of these guidelines is to discourage demolition of the District's historic buildings and serve as a guide for rehabilitation of existing buildings, construction of new buildings and addition and relocation of buildings so as to preserve the historic and cultural character and visual identity of the district.
