Suspicious Vehicle in Neighborhood

My wife spotted this car when the person was turning the front door knob on a neighbor's house. (The neighbors were not home and no cars were in their driveway). They said they were painters but had no cards or flyers and took off.
The car was a white BMW 740 il, license plate # 511 CJS. She said there were two men in the car, both dark skin with dark hair. Our next door neighbor also saw the same car driving around the neighborhood yesterday.
